The Gluten Free and Allergen Free Expo happens this February 22nd and 23rd, at the Renaissance Glendale Hotel and Spa, next to Jobing Arena and Westgate at Glendale Blvd and AZ-Loop 101. For the official details, click "Read More" at the bottom of this post.
The expo features over 100 vendors, with hundreds of samples of different gluten free and allergen free foods available for purchase. Some of the big names I am super excited to see are:
This expo is not just about food; some of the vendors like Red Apple Lipstick carry personal cosmetic products that are gluten free and allergen free. There are classes and guest speakers too!
Each ticket to the expo gets you a free reusable bag! You'll need it to carry around your samples and coupons the vendors have out, and it can double as a shopping bag later.
I am most excited for this expo because it is a place where having food allergies is not a hassle; its a place where people with food allergies and other diseases can be free and eat without the fear of negative consequences. Plus who doesn't love a free sample? An expo like this gives you the opportunity to taste things and buy them without the risk of getting home and finding out your new gluten free crackers taste AWFUL. Think about how much money you'll save!
My excitement for the expo is unreal, the thought of a whole hotel ballroom filled with things that are safe for us to eat makes me giddy.
